Ultralight ropes canyoning technique

You can see the canyon of Abbambesi from afar, as a deep cut in Quirra plateau. It begins as a stream flowing quietly on a horizontal pavement of marl-limestone layers. Then stream reaches plateau's edge and falls into a canyon with majestic (and landsliding) walls.

Here begins a great trail amidst walls, boulders and cascades.

I remember ...

Among the peculiarities of Abbambesi canyon is its location inside the biggest military firing ground of Italy. But you might not even realize to be in a firing ground: around you there's only impassable bush, solitude, and some cows or goats eating the grass that grows on the thousands of bullets and bombs spread on the soil. Some of them might be still "active", as written on boards.

This is the paradox of Quirra firing ground.
