By the coast of southern Lazio there are tall mountains made of hard limestone. But here waters flow in giant networks of karst caves. Very few water flows on the surface, so you find very few streams and no canyons.

Canyon of Rio Cupone is the first canyon found here, maybe the only canyon in Aurunci Mounts. An easy, short canyon in a beautiful truly mediterranean environment.
