Fosso di Micigliano
Seen from the road that passes aside, Fosso di Micigliano looks like any wooded valley, leaving no elements to figure the cascades and the dark narrows hidden at its bottom.
I remember ...Everytime I was passing on the road to Micigliano I told to myself: I should try descending this valley. And a moment later: well, there's probably nothing interesting here ... I will do when I have nothing better to do. That's why it took 20 years! I did it in a hot afternoon of June, alone ... I didn't want my friends wasting a day in another uninteresting place. But instead, unexpectedly, I find myself rappelling an almost uninterrupted sequence of cascades, while the stream was becoming tighter and darker,
and the hours were passing more quickly than I had imagined ...
Photographs in this website show ultralight ropes (6 mm ropes made of high tenacity fibers). Read multimedia book Ultralight ropes canyoning technique to learn how to use them.
