The discovery of Pellicano canyon proves that the search for new canyoning routes in the hills near Rome is by no means over.
It is so because:
- canyons are often invisible from outside the valley
- there might be a narrow in every creek, because the main factor who makes a narrow is orogeny. A high water flow is not needed to have a narrow
- the number of streams and little valleys on the hills around Rome is really huge!
- the abandonment of the countryside has made difficult reaching the valleys, turned back wild
Better this way: it means that I can play exploring canyons for years without needing to go far from home!
